Walk The Talk or Just Walk Away

Star Q

We have in many occasions been told to utilize our working hours one hundred percent.  We are not allowed to use our working hours even on activities like sports or clubs or uniform activities.  Those can and should be done outside working hours.  Time should be utilized for the benefit of the clients and those activities should be those pertaining to studies; in the classroom (or labs!) with books (exercise books and textbooks together!)

But, it pains me to see these people who tell us to do our work well, are not doing their work as well as they want other people to do.  We are not supposed to conduct meetings for example, during our working hours but they can do them during theirs.  We are not supposed to conduct certain activities during our working hours but they do them during theirs.  We are not supposed to carry out festive celebrations during our working hours, but they happily do them during theirs.  They even have the nerve to drag some of us along to assist them to ensure the success of their activities.

All I can say is, if you as our superiors (seriously?) cannot do the things you tell us to do, then just leave us alone.  As long as what we do is not against they law, and our clients are still able to keep up with their studies (and excel too!) then there is nothing wrong.  After all, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!

Can't believe that I have been too busy to write that I have actually left this blog untouched for two long years.  A lot of thing...
