Tears of a Sister.

Star Q
ii.  Pindah!!!

My sister, may happiness be yours soon, Insya Allah

It's been two weeks since my brother-in-law had his leg amputated due to complications partly due to diabetes.  And all that time my sister has literally become more than a wife to him.  It is sad to see someone who, probably due to to such a circumstance, refuse to take it upon himself to try to do things on his own.

21st : All In God's Grace

Star Q

I'm not counting the days, but the consistent reminder from my better half and the kids that this special (to whom, I wonder?) is just around the corner.  They all know, that on any special day, be it Mother's Day (there, I said it!) or Teachers Day or any other commemorative day, they can expect a special menu for the day, or at least a special dish.

Celebrating Mother's Love

Star Q

I believe that you cannot pick one particular day to express your love towards your mother especially when consider that there is not one day that goes by that a mother does not express her love towards us; love that is shown in every sense of the word.

Voluntary Displays of Vandalism

The debate about the pros and cons of social networks has been going on for as long as they have existed.  People have found long lost friends through social networks.  Long lost families have been reconnected through it; knowledge and experiences are exchanged in the name of goodwill through its pages.

To The Brave

Entries in My Other Blogs

You can only determine a person's bravery when one is confronted with such and such a situation.  You can never be called brave unless you have gone through that situation.  And for today at least, 1st May 2012, I can take off my hat (or songkok, in my case!) to my sister who had experienced a very difficult phase in her life.

At 6.00 p.m., her husband was wheeled into the Operating Theater of one of the hospitals in the state where is residing.  For reasons, I would rather not disclose here, he had to have his leg amputated just below the knee.  True, the doctor did ask her for a joint decision, but I had advised her that that decision should be made by his nine other siblings; because if anything were to go wrong then my sister would not be blamed.

A Cancelled Trip

I was supposed to go to PWTC in Kuala Lumpur for the annual Book Fair yesterday.  However, at the last minute I had to call it off.  I just didn't want to be caught up in some other people's problem.  In the effort to remain non-judgmental about what other people are doing, I shall say just that, and nothing more!

Abolishing PTPTN or Abolishing Personal Debts

Dr M: Abolishing PTPTN may impact education costs

I, like many other parents with their children pursuing tertiary education, have always breathed out a long sigh of relief (albeit not all the way!) when it comes to PTPTN.  It may not actually solve all our children's financial problems in universities of wherever they are doing their tertiary education, but it does alleviate the hardship faced by parents.
