Of Cows and Their Owners!

It has often been reported in the media about cattle causing accidents on major roads.  A lot more have been said about what should be done and what steps the owners of these cattle should take to prevent further unnecessary accidents.  Today, unfortunately, one of those accidents involves a Form 6 student from here.

Owners of these animals, either from sheer neglect or irresponsibility, have often times caused many sad situations where motorists are injured in accidents involving these animals.  These animals are let to roam, day and night, all over the village areas, which can transcend areas that include public roads.

These owners should know that their irresponsibility will cause grief, not only to the people involved in the accidents, but also to the people close to them.  I refuse to express pity on the animal owners because it is their fault why their animals get hit in the first place.

Undeniably, when these accidents occur, it is difficult to identify the animal owners in order for legal actions to be taken, since the guilty owners would choose to look the other and forget about his/her loss.  It may be easy for the owner to ignore his loss in the form of a farm animal, but can he live with the possible loss of a human life!
