High And Dry on the Highway.

One would expect ones journey on the highway to be a breeze without any interruptions making one able to reach ones destination right on time.  This situation cannot be far from the truth because an unpleasant journey back home on the PLUS Highway yesterday, 30th April 2011, left travelling on such a road left a lot to be desired.

Not only did traffic start to move at a snail's pace from as early as Bangi Interchange right to Simpang Empat, which incidentally made it a four-and-a-half hour journey instead of the normal three, it also caused many of the highway users to inconsiderately use the emergency lane!

Being a road user myself, I can empathise with all other road users when a stupendous highway like the PLUS Highway, suddenly becomes congested with holiday traffic, making travelling a frenzied mix of anger and frustration on the drivers' part.  Thus it is understandable that a few (understandably) impatient drivers take to the emergency lane without thinking about the safety of other road users or even they themselves, even when in this particular situation a few of them actually got slapped with summons by the traffic police! (Note the white Inspira!)

However, on the plus (no pun intended!) side, when these drivers who take to the emergency lane, actually help to ease the congestion on the actual roads, and in turn, help to speed up the snail's pace into the pace of some other faster animal.  On the one hand, I sympathise with them for getting summoned but on the other hand, I thank them for easing the flow of traffic.  And that is a plus (pun intended!).

After Two Years.....

Can't believe that I have been too busy to write that I have actually left this blog untouched for two long years.  A lot of thing...
