The Right to Write Part II

Blogging seems to be catching up like wild fire nowadays.  There seems to be blogs of every kind written for every single purpose by every kind of person.  That should be a good thing if you look at it positively, for example young people, students especially will now have a fun way to practice their writing skills and enhance their command of vocabulary in the process of conveying their opinions.

There is always a time and place for everything, I always say.  And I feel when literally the whole world can read what you write, you at least have the responsibility to express yourselves using properly constructed sentences.  Granted you can have one or two abbreviations or acronyms in every entry (if indeed that is the current trend!)  but you definitely cannot and should not write as you are sending short text messages!  Like I said, there is a time and place for everything.  If you send short text messages then you have to use all the abbreviations and acronyms because you have to pay to specific telcos  for their services.  But writing a blog requires a different sort of skill.

And what's up with a 'wordless' entry?  One picture with a ten-word description under it, and that's that!  Not surprisingly, a blogger can even produce more than ten entries per day!

Finally, blogging has now become a race to acquire as many followers as possible.  Some bloggers even go to the extent of begging readers to follow their blogs apparently because of a certain award.  I mean, if the blogger has already established a strong foundation and the blog is a useful blog, then there is always enough reason for people to follow.  But if it just a nonsense blog, then it is just that.  Nonsense!

After Two Years.....

Can't believe that I have been too busy to write that I have actually left this blog untouched for two long years.  A lot of thing...
