It was a hot and sweaty day and the time being mid-day, there was a lot of traffic on the road. I can understand Malaysian drivers' feelings when we have to undergo these conditions when driving because these are the things that put us on the edge.
However, there is one additional situation that tends to stretch the limits of our patience and that is when people cut queue or lanes. Take for example today when I was driving to Tesco (how I miss going to Huddersfield's branch in the UK! Sigh!) in Seremban and the traffic light had just turn red. I was going to turn right and I was behind another car. All of a sudden came this green SUV from my left! The driver who was on a go-straight lane, cut across the double line (which meant no over-taking!) and swerved almost to the front of the car ahead of me!
I don't think the driver had taken the wrong lane because there was no other car behind me; so he could have just easily queued behind me. I'm sure the driver would have made it to wherever he was going to, if he had queued behind me because there would be enough time before the traffic light turned red again! And to my surprise, the driver (and his family of six; wife and four adult children!) were also going to Tesco! Six adults who add to the bane of other drivers!
The thing that ticks me off is not only did he cut lane to be in front of every body else on the road just to go to Tesco, but the worse thing was, Tesco was just one hundred meters away from the traffic light!
I can only imagine that the driver was in a hurry to Tesco to buy a hog because his driving was exactly like one!
