Happiness is the day when we really get to apply the insane idea of paying RM700 for each specific work that we do. I mean, let's just look at the teaching profession for example; hypothetically if this were to fall through, a teacher would get RM700 a month just for teaching alone! Then comes another RM700 for clerical work like updating class register and collecting fees (yes! there are still fees to be collected!). Another RM700 would be paid for services rendered as coaches for games, followed by yet another RM700 each for being trainers for debates, public speaking, drama and choral speaking and RM700 for being commanding officers (teacher adviser actually, but since we're on a roll, let's just go with it!) for uniform units. These alone come up to RM4,200!
And there are the specialty services (much more glamorous than specific work!) like being appointed master of ceremonies of functions and events (venues notwithstanding!) which should chalk up another RM700. Then there is also duties like looking after the school's resource center (each unit taken as individual entities!) for another RM700. That makes the total now RM5,600! Imagine if a maid can get RM700 for doing one specific work while being given a free roof under her head, free food, weekend off, plus, plus, other professions deserve the same remuneration if not better!
I shall not go on with the endless special work and tasks that teachers (other people from other occupations, please highlight!) do daily! I shall not go on for the sane reason that this insane proposal will not materialize and those people who demand such ludicrous remuneration should just pay those people themselves. And for the sane hope that the people whom the demand is being made against will just shoot this proposal down like the scavengers they are!
