Star Q
ii. Past Imperfect
iii. Majlis Iftaar
Human beings are an expressive lot so much so that they would go to any length and take any means to achieve what they have to say. Some choose to express themselves through ways that are more subtle and acceptable by other human beings, while others just couldn't care less about the feelings and sensitivities of others as long as their opinions are heard.
There is nothing wrong with trying to get others to listen to (and see) your feelings. People are usually more appreciative of ways that do not seem to threaten their being. They readily sympathize with you and can often take up your side of the defence. Undeniably, more dubious ways and more assertive means can also achieve the same goal, albeit a bit more threatening to begin with.
However, in the quest to be heard, human beings, who have the brains and intelligence to think and reason out situations should take it upon themselves not to involve others in the midst of expressing their feelings. Of course, other human beings, being those who also have the ability to think and rationalize, can always think things through.
But when you use animals to get your way, then that is where the line should be drawn. Animals are innocent creatures that simply go along with whatever plots and plans humans have to express their feelings. Animals cannot differentiate whether human feelings are sincere or not; they cannot distinguish their masters' intentions whether they are good or bad.
Thus some animals can become scapegoats to their masters who have an agenda to disseminate. They become the innocent and ever-willing accomplice to their masters' dubious intentions. And in the process, sometimes, these animals are the ones that usually get the hardest blow.
