Is It Great to be Ingrates?

Star Q

Nothing surprises this teacher anymore when it comes to the antics of students nowadays; especially those who never want to put any attempt in studying, let alone behaving in class.  So, when a few of them approached this teacher as she was teaching three of their classmates, she gave them a dull and dazed look.  Note, after this group had been making twenty minutes of their deafening din, they suddenly realized this teacher was in class!

They also realized that this teacher was giving some tips on how to attempt different sections of the English Language paper in the coming Mid-Year examination.  This small group of students the teacher was talking to has been diligently (well, almost always) doing the tasks the teacher has been giving them.

However, this rowdy group of students did not come over to the teacher to share in the tips the teacher was providing to their friends.  What they actually did was to ask the teacher to help them out during the actual exam by giving them some of the answers!

This situation related by the teacher to me really shows how terribly lazy these students can be.  Not only are they lazy to learn, they are even lazy to sit for an exam and try to answer the questions on their own.  I guess they must have realized that there is no chance in the world that they could possibly pass the exam (with a minimum passing mark of 30/100) without the teacher helping them.

It is indeed sad these students can have a gala time every time they come to school; making noise, leaving and entering the class as they like, ignoring the teachers, not bringing their books, playing games and every thing else under the sun, and still have the nerve to ask for the teacher's help to allow them to pass.  This from the same teacher whom they have for so long aggravated, annoyed and ignored!

If I were the teacher, I would give these ingrates a taste of their own medicine.  Yes, I would simply ignore them!
