When I think about all the main roads in this country, be they popular roads with heavy traffic or even lonely, village roads, the names given to these roads would have been given much thought.  I personally often wonder at these names, and then I sink back into my seat and accept that the names given to them are probably justified especially if they are named after people, whether living or deceased.

I am attending another three-day course yet again and today is the first day of the course and thankfully the night slot has just ended; exactly on time.  I always hate it when during courses like this, the speakers get carried away with what they are presenting (and sometimes out of topic!) and lose track of time, leaving the course participants fidgeting in their seats, eager to go back to their rooms for a well-deserved rest.

Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, one of the busiest roads in Kuala Lumpur, used to be my favourite haunts many, many years ago; twenty-three years ago to be exact.  I was doing my one-year specialist course there and so almost every weekend I would take the bus to the city bus terminal and walked all the way there and back.
