Something for Sour Grapes

Star Q

Another bonus for next year!  Well, it's nothing much to shout about.  First of all it is nothing compared to the bonuses that employees in the private sectors (some banks for example) are getting every year.  Secondly, it's just a one off thing.

Having said that, I often wonder why some people are envious about the dismal amount of bonus, which I am thank for getting nevertheless, These people question the justification for awarding the civil servants with bonuses every year; they ask repeatedly the contributions that the civil servants have made for the country for them to deserve getting the bonus.

It is sad to think that these people who continuously ask, are always have their dissatisfied towards the civil servants.  They always bring to light that civil servants have not done enough to contribute to the development of the country. They argue that civil servants are dishonest and lazy.  It is also sad to note that these sour grapes refuse to use the adjective of quantity some to describe the civil servants their debating on.

Last but definitely not the least, I would suggest that any grouses or dissatisfaction that these sour, sour grapes have about civil servants being given their small annual bonus should be brought directly to the authorities issuing the bonus.  Don't go harping your envy towards the civil servants by splashing your unwanted and lame opinions on social media hoping that the person giving the bonus would some how read your insignificant view, and hurting some many innocent civil servants along the way.

Be responsible and go straight to the source.  Thrash out your dissatisfaction to the source.  Be a man.  Don't be some kind of trash!
