No Vice In Good Advice

Star Q

We are already into the eighth day of search-and-rescue operation for the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.  After more than a week of a fifteen-nation search and still nothing to show for the efforts, families and friends of the passengers and crew of the ill-fated flight, can only hope for a miracle.

But amidst all the anger, confusion and to some of these people, acceptance of the situation, others who have nothing to do with the people on board the flight are having fun at the expense of other people's sadness.  For some of these people, ridiculing the unfortunate passengers and crew of that flight seems to come like second nature to them;  hurting the feelings of the relatives and friends of all those on board the flight doesn't seem to bother them one little bit!

One facebook user ridiculed the pilot for being a citizen of a certain state from the east coast of peninsular Malaysia which according to him caused the flight to go missing.  Another blamed the passengers on the flight for hawking all the airtime on television which made her unable to watch any other shows or programmes.

The strange thing is when these people are reprimanded for their actions on the social media, they retaliated by thrashing back at the public even though they were ones who started the whole thing in the first place.  Therefore, if these people who cannot stand the heat from the fire they started, then they should at least be able to take some gentle reminders and advice from the public.

They should not hold any grudges towards the public who are merely pulling them back to the right track.  In the first place they should ridicule and cause more anguish to the people have suffered misfortune, because fate has a funny way of turning itself around and hitting you right smack in the face.  Only then will you realise how sad it feels to lose someone you love dearly and even sadder when people poke fun at your loss.
