I know grumbling is not a good way to start off the new year but when you come across people who are inconsiderate to the point of endangering other people's lives, one can't help but to grumble and complain at the same time.
We have all seen numerous examples of inconsiderate road users who over take at double lines, who drive slowly on the right lane on the highway and who drive excruciatingly slow on roads that already indicate a slow km/hour speed.
One other annoying example of inconsiderate road users is those who jump queues especially at traffic lights. It is nerve-wrecking enough having to stay in queue to wait for the traffic light to green to continue driving. It is even more nerve-wrecking when you start to drive and the light all too quickly turns red again due to the long queue.
What is even worse is when, after all the waiting at the traffic light, and you are the second in queue, another driver comes out from nowhere on your left and takes the queue in front of you, not even caring whether his vehicle is sideways or blocking other people on the left lane or the fact that, in order to take the queue in front of me, the back of his car is merely inches away from my front bumper!
There is no arguing that, when on the road, everyone is in a hurry to get to wherever it is we are going to, and as far as possible we should try to get there safely. That having said, it should also involve the safety of the inconsiderate drivers and other road users whom they aggravate. It is bad enough we are driving on today's road and traffic conditions under stress; having people like these makes driving even more stressful.
So, for a stress-free driving, be considerate.
